Description
Memorial tablet reads: "In memory of the public service of Andrew P. Hill 1853-1922" and "He saved the redwoods." The original fountain of stone, surmounted by this same bronze tablet, stood near the present-day photographic studio and was dedicated May 30, 1924. It had to be removed when Big Basin Redwoods State Park's roads and buildings were rearranged by the Civilian Service Corps. The memorial was rededicated on July 14, 1946.
