Photograph caption dated September 24, 1956 reads, "Led by high-stepping drum majorette Dixie Freeman, smartly attired Burbank Police Boys Band strut their stuff in annual review. Parade took more than two hours to pass, featured floats, scores of other bands, horses and riders and marching units."
