Description
Interview with Carlos Beltran, president of the Coalition of Chicano Community Workers in Van Nuys, California, about work to end barrio warfare, gang violence. Barrio Expressions was a community access television show documenting Chicanx and Latinx life in the East San Francisco Bay Area. It ran on Hayward cable television from 1976-1985. While the shows were filmed primarily in the Hayward area, they include stories from around the East Bay and San Jose. The show aired weekly, with 26 episodes per year.
