Photograph caption dated January 16, 1965 reads, "The Rev. Paul C. R. Peterson of Burbank's First Baptist Church addresses 100 demonstrators before Internal Revenue Service offices in Los Angeles." The article partially reads, "'We protest the discrimination of the Internal Revenue Service against loyal conservative constitutional Americans!' Holding this banner aloft, some 100 demonstrators, mostly from Burbank, gathered at the old Los Angeles Plaza near Union Station yesterday for a march on the Federal Building, four blocks away. The rally was organized by the Rev. Paul Peterson, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Burbank, to protest recent action by the Internal Revenue agents to revoke the tax-exempt status of Oklahoma evangelist, the Rev. Billy James Hargis."
