Photograph caption dated February 17, 1959 reads "Valley Marine Reservists, from left, Pfc Allan E. Swanson, 10561 Art St., Sunland; Cpl. George Johnson, 13113 Terra Bella St., Pacoima, and Cpl. Fred Chavez, 11901 Youngdale Ave., San Fernando, run through preview session for year's first Gunnery shoot slated for Feb. 7 and 8 at 29 Palms. All three belong to Marine Corps Reserve 155 mm Howitzer Batalion located at Chávez Ravine."
