Description
An essay by Reed about his decision in 1943 to leave the radio industry and New York and pursue a career in movies in Los Angeles and the difficulties in doing this on his own terms. Date of writing is unknown, but was likely sometime in the late 1960s or early 1970s when Reed had begun thinking about writing a memoir.
