Buddy Rogers was an actor and a jazz musician. Photograph caption dated May 14, 1953 reads "Mary Pickford arrives by Western Airlines at Los Angeles International Airport from San Francisco, following a 7-week tour of the nation for savings bonds. The silent screen star visited 26 cities and made over 100 personal appearances during the course of the tour. Shown with her are: Charles 'Buddy' Rogers and J.B. Messick."
