Description
Pictured in 1942 is Mather Field's flightline, filled with several North American T-6 Texan trainers. Mather received its first delivery of Texans from North American's Inglewood, California, plant in October 1941. Established as a flight school in 1918, during World War II, Mather provided training in single and double engine planes, navigation, and bombardiering.
