Description
Photograph of two women making tortillas in prepration for the family meal, Mexico, ca.1905. They are gathered about a fire beside a crude stick and grass house. At right a man is sitting on a log against a tree from which a basket hangs, looking on. A child stands behind the woman who is frying the tortillas. Another woman, beside the child, is sitting and nursing a baby. Various pots, bowls, jars, and baskets are set about the preparation area. Railroad tracks are visible behind the group.
