Description
“Loads arriving at the homestead.” Group portrait of indigenous women carrying sacks on their heads. Imported supplies were transported eleven miles from Port Stewart, on Lake Nyasa, to Livingstonia situated on a plateau two and a half thousand feet above the lake. ❧ Album containing photographs recording a voyage up the Shire River and scenes from the Livingstonia mission.
