Description
Plaque with ceramic inset engraved with color flags of Japan, United States, and Costa Rica. Text reads: These flags commemorate the strong bonds of friendship uniting San Jose, California with her sister cities Okayama, Japan and San Jose, Costa Rica. Presented by San Jose City Council Pacific Neighbors." Okayama, Japan became a Sister City in 1957, and San José, Costa Rica in 1961. The next Sister City was Veracruz, Mexico (1975).
