Photograph shows CVP Canal in Contra Costa County--Gracefully curving into the Clayton Valley near Concord, another length of the Contra Costa Canal has been completed by the United States Bureau of Reclamation. This section is 20 feet wide at the top and 5 1/2 feet deep. Twenty-nine miles of canal back of this point are in service delivering Central Valley Project water to industries, homes, and farms. Construction is proceeding on a new section beyond Walnut Creek.
