Photograph caption dated May 4, 1965 reads, "John L. Pahlow, 39, has been appointed resident manager of the Jos. Schlitz Brewing Company plant at Van Nuys. He succeeds Thomas J. Woods, who resigned. Pahlow is a graduate of Marquette University, Milwaukee, with a degree in mechanical engineering. He joined Schlitz in 1949 and was assigned to the Van Nuys plant in 1954 as assistant plant engineer. He was promoted to plant engineer in 1955 and has held that post since."
