Description
Photograph caption dated September 8, 1988 reads, "Two victims of a chain-reaction accident at Chatsworth Street and Hayvenhurst Avenue in Granada Hills get help from paramedics. Five people were injured yesterday when a Chevrolet allegedly ran a red light and slammed into a van. The van struck a stopped car and then continued on, hitting bicyclist Christopher Kostas (upper right). Kostas suffered a compound fracture on his left leg and underwent surgery at Holy Cross Medical Center, where he was listed in serious but stable condition."
