Description
Cabinet card photo of a young lady wearing a dark velvet dress trimmed with black lace and bias tape in a false square neckline; the actual neckline is a V-shape and is trimmed with wide white braid and a standing ruffle for a collar. The lady's hair is in a thick braid coiled on the top of her head, with three long sausage curls hanging down over her left shoulder. She has a few short ringlets on her forehead and there is a flower ornament pinned just above her left ear. She is also wearing what look like gold dangling earrings, an oval-shaped metal brooch with three silk or real rosebuds pinned to the point of her V-neckline, and a watch hanging from a chain, apparently attached to her brooch. There also appears to be a second, longer, chain hanging from her brooch, but it is partially hidden behind the ends of the white braid that hang down from her collar. The photographer's studio information is stamped on the back, and there is an inscription in ink, reading "Willie and Maggie." The date, "Dec 25/74" is also hand-written on the back near the lower edge.
