Photograph shows a scene on the Feather River. Note on back: Photograph titled Opposite Iron Bar. This would probably be Soda Bar near the present town of Paxton on the east branch of the Feather River. This was a very productive mining area. The Maxwell Mining Company had a hydraulic mine here with the water supplied by ditch from near what is now Oakland Camp over 10 miles southeast.
