Mrs. Leonardi, nee Roselli, reminisces about her life in California for almost a century, beginning with a on a diary ranch in San Joaquin Valley, and her family's move to Marin when she was thirteen. Recalling life in San Rafael since 1924, when the population was only 840, Mrs. Leonardi shares her memories of northern California land owners, a long career at the local newspaper, and marriage to her neighbor, Ray. She fondly remembers her Center Street home as the entertaining place for her and her husband's large Italian families. The mother of two girls, she speaks of travels with her daughter, the wife of a major league baseball player, as they followed his team to games around the country.
