Photograph caption dated March 1, 1958 reads, "San Fernando High's outstanding stars, Earl Young, left, and George Vejar, are working overtime getting into shape for the 1958 Valley League track season. Young is one of the league's best 440 men, having a best of 50.7 last year, while Vejar is tabbed as a potential great in the mile. Both will be seen in the Canoga Park High School Relays next Friday." See image 00162848 for additional photo in this series.
