"Die Markthalle in Moshi, worin Fleisch etc. verkauft wird" ("The market hall in Moshi, where meat etc. is sold"). The market hall is the building on the left. The roof is of corrugated iron and the walls are open on the sides.There are several more buildings to the right of the hall, all with roofs made of plant fiber. A planted fence on the right. The picture was probably taken by Johannes Schanz (1876-1963). He worked as a missionary of the Leipzig Mission in Moshi and Mamba from 1901 to 1910.
