Featured on page 196 of "Charles Herrold, Inventor of Radio Broadcasting" (Greb, 2003), with the caption "Ray Newby, world's first disc jockey, proved he knew how to use a modern microphone and spin records on visiting the college radio studios in 1959. He was guest of honor at a dinner, parade and plaque celebration marking the Golden Anniversary of Broadcasting."
