Photograph of a water flume in the mountains between Camino and Placerville, ca.1930. The wide canal is pictured at center, zig-zagging to the right distance where a sluice or funnel can be seen affixed above the flume's wooden siderails. Treetops from the mountain area below are visible to the right, while mountain face is at left. According to the picture file card "The South Fork of the American River flows one thousand feet below".
