Photograph article dated October 4, 1963 partially reads, "The nine-hole Hueneme Bay golf course will be ready for play early in November, it was announced today by Joseph F. Dowling, president of the Carefree Living Association. "Opening of the golf course will afford residents complete use of all facilities at the Hueneme Bay Club," added Dowling... The Hueneme Bay golf course was designed by landscape architect Raymond D. Page, F.A.S.L.A. of Beverly Hills, and includes several four-par holes in the extensive layout. A formal opening, to be attended by civic dignitaries and executives of the Carefree Living Association, is planned, Dowling noted." Pictured is Hueneme Bay Club Center of recreational community.
