Plates in: Album of photographs, pg. 48 & 52. Three views of same couple. Woman in lace dress, high collar, flowers in her hair. Man in suit with flowers on his lapel. View 1 (2009-3297). Woman seated, man standing -- view 2 (2009-3298). Man seated, woman standing -- view 3 (2009-3304). Waist-length portrait. John Baldwin arrived in California by 1874. Was active as a photographer in several cities, including Sacramento. In Sacramento operated out of a gallery on J Street in the 1880's.
