San Fernando Valley State College is now California State University, Northridge.
Photograph caption dated October 14, 1963 reads "Leon Greathouse finally stopped by Oxy." The article partially reads "Even though Valley State was thumped soundly on the noggin 33-13 by Occidental Saturday night before 3,000 groaning spectators at Monroe High School field, Choboliam and Greathouse performed meritoriously." Greathouse is a halfback. James Monroe High School is in North Hills.
