Description
Photograph. "Disposal plant -- Here is sketch of proposed $21,000,000 sewage treatment plant prepared by Metcalf and Eddy, engineers. The plant, recommended to be built in the sand hills of Hyperion, would be large enough to care for Los Angeles' population of 3,000,000. Several hundred city officials and civic leaders were on hand to hear recommendations for the project." -- Examiner clipping attached to verso, dated 26 April 1944.
