Mission San Luis Obispo's exterior, with a handwritten message surrounding the perimeter of the image. Message reads: 'My dear Auntie Victors: It is with sad disappointment to us all: we couldn't take our trip. Mama was taken sick Thursday before we started and is only able to be up now. We were going to go Saturday G.C. It was a case of tin poisoning from eating canned soup. G.C.' Sent from 1029 O St. Fresno, California. Addressed to Mrs. H. Victors, San José, California. Note in bottom left hand corner reads: Hawthorn Farm R.D. No.1.
