Description
Born in San Bernardino, Bledsoe was a lawyer and judge. He served as a superior court judge in California from 1900-14 and a federal judge of U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California from 1914-25. He chose to resign during that last year as a judge and ran as a mayoral candidate of Los Angeles. He was an active member of various organizations, including Sons of the Revolution, Freemasons, Knights Templar and Native Sons of the Golden West and served as president of the Los Angeles Grand Opera Association. He died in the small community of Crestline in San Bernardino County.
