Description
The grounds of Capitol Park over a century ago are captured in this verdant image featuring lush lawns and a wide variety of trees, plants and shrubs. A broad walkway cuts through the park while the Capitol Building, usually a dominant part of any postcard featuring Capitol Park, is absent from this view. Absent also is any hint of the traffic and activity of all types that usually whirls about park and adjacent streets, even in 1907 when this card was mailed.
