Description
Restaurant was the former Coco Tree restaurant, commissioned by Carl Laemmle to architecht Richard Neutra, before major remodeling took place in 1940. After the renovation, the restaurant's facade was curved at the corner and the glass and steel along the front were removed, along with other distiguishing features of Neutra's design.
Exterior view of the Melody Lane Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge, formerly the Coco Tree Cafe now remodeled. It was located on the northwest corner of Hollywood Blvd. and Vine Street. A large billboard on the roof advertises White King Soap.
