Sacramento County Exhibit of Mrs. E. Shield's fruits during the 1895 California State Fair, an elaborate display featuring a large facsimile of the California State Seal. An authentic scale model of the State Capitol dome rises behind the beautifully arranged glass cannisters of all shapes containing examples of the fruit carried by the exhibitor. Printed advertisements for "Mme. M. L. Swilling, French Hairdresser, 1012 Eighth Street Sacramento, Hair Fancy Work a Specialty" and "Miss Jennie Chase, Dressmaker, Hale Block Sacramento, Ladies Underwear and Infants' Clothing made to order" appear under the image.
