Description
Long Beach animal shelter "gas chamber" written on back of image. Pictured is a wooden storage shed with dirt floor. Lumber, a hoe, two tin tubs, and other debris are visible. In the left rear corner of the shed, there is a large metal tank apparatus connected to pipes and mounted on an elevated concrete base. Shelter location was 1501 San Francisco Avenue. DATE NOTES: Circa 1930's. ORIG. IMAGE: 8" x 10" B&W glossy print. NEGATIVE: no. KEYWORDS: pound, animal control.
