Photograph caption dated August 3, 1955 reads "Smoke and flames billow behind houses in the Forest Park area of Mint Canyon, 10 miles east of Newhall, as fire creeps to within 25 yards of the homes. Householders wet down roofs to protect homes from fire which started in unused cabin in Moxley subdivision."; See images #00143218 through #00143219 for all photos in this series.
