"The late Bishop Bashford and Dr. Arthur H. Smith, leaders of two great denominations supporting Peking University." Both wear white suits and hats. The bishop carries an umbrella, Dr. Smith a cane. They stand on a grassy hillside with trees behind
no buildings in sight.
Peking University was later called Yenching University, which was later known as Yanjing da xue.
