2005-0689. Attributed to Carleton Watkins - reasonably certain Library's collection of mammoth prints printed from negatives by Watkins. View of Pacific Coast Steamship Company warehouses and pier at foot of Fifth Street; shows three frame buildings, pier with railroad tracks leading out into the harbor; sacks stacked and on horse drawn wagons, curved railroad tracks in foregroung, ship docked at the end of the pier. Point Loma Peninsula in background. Alonzo Horton's "New Town" San Diego. Horton built long wharf at foot of Fifth Street. Restricted original.
