Photograph inside a small cave on the Grand View Trail, Grand Canyon, ca.1900-1930. A morass of stalactites hang down from the cave ceiling, while a few stalagmites rise up to meet them. The lime covered surfaces make the scene appear to be icicles in winter. A dark opening is visible beyond the formations at left, while the floor rises steeply at right toward the light.
