Photograph caption dated February 22, 1956 reads, "Jack McAfee, veteran Valley sports car pilot, sits in the latest and most advanced 3.9 liter Ferrari which was flown here via American Airlines airfreight from Modena, Italy, by owner John Edgar of Sherman Oaks. Car will be driven by McAfee Saturday and Sunday in the 10th running of the Palm Springs Airport sports car races."
