The Artaban Apartment, 10 Atlantic Avenue, was constructed in 1922 as cooperative apartments. Its amenities included built-in refrigeration plant, laundry room, meeting and game rooms. The south exterior has balconies that face the ocean. The entrance is on the west side with a recessed doorway in a decorative arch. The lobby's ceiling has a fresco and the mantle around the fireplace shows scenes of Artaban travelers looking for Jesus. The apartment building is Long Beach Historic Landmark no. 16.52.200.

Smaller apartment buildings, Torrey Pine Apartments, Foster Apartments, Harvard Apartments, are nearby. There are still some vacant lots available and a few single-family residences are scattered among the apartment buildings. Directly behind the Artaban is a garage and storage facility.
