Photograph caption dated March 23, 1963 reads, "Teen-Age Folk Dancers Practice Steps -- Fifteen teen-agers at Valley Cities Jewish Community Center, Van Nuys, practice folk dances for an exhibition April 19 at Temple Beth Ami in Reseda. The group, which has been dancing for a year under the instruction of Syd Sunderland, learns dances of every land, including Israeli, Yiddish, Russian, Greek and German. Enjoying the session in the picture are (from left) Bess Ellesberg, 16; David Kurz, 16, and Charles Karp, 17."
