Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph caption dated June 11, 1958 reads, "Arthur Braklein, 50, right, explains to investigator how he gave chase to youthful bandit who had attempted to steal his car and then pistol-whipped him when he refused." The assailant had just robbed the North Hollywood Department of Water and Power when he attacked Braklein who was entering his car in the Valley Times parking lot after having purchased some newspapers.; See images #00120853, #00120856, and #00120857 for all photos in this series.
