Here is an artist's conception of a new plan to alleviate parking problems, advanced today by the Automobile Club of Southern California. According to E. E. East, chief engineer of the club, merchants would pool resources and purchase property in the rear of their establishments. This would be converted into parking space. It would be most successful in districts where stores are backed by residential streets. Picture shows how the new parking areas would look if the plan is carried out. Photo dated: September 14, 1936.
