Description
Los Angeles Police Chief Daryl Gates, right, takes an aggressive approach to fighting the problem of pervasive drugs on the city's streets by passing out anti-drug literature to residents of the Pueblo Del Rio Housing Project. Gates joined the Newton Street Police-Clergy Council in handing out the leaflets. Members of the Brown family look on as Gates points out aspects of the problem. Photo dated: November 30, 1984.
