Description
Hand-colored postcard image shows Venice Beach scene with bathers along shore in front of the Venice Plunge bathing pavilion, which opened in August of 1907 just north of the Abbot Kinney Pier, and closed in 1943. The red Sea Swings are visible at the far right in front of the bathhouse. Reverse of divided back postcard printed with "Published by VAN ORNUM COLORPRINT CO., LOS ANGELES, CAL." and "518".
