The Soldiers' and Sailors' Help Society have taken over and furnished the old "Black Rock" Public House in Castle Street as a Soldiers' Rest Room where during the inclement weather men can go and spend a pleasant hour, have a smoke, a cup of tea and some plain food without payment and without climbing a lot of stairs, a great advantage to wounded
