Description
Photo shows an announcement for "Collar & Bow", the controversial 66-foot-tall sculpture of a white collar and black bow tie planned for the front of Disney hall, to be located on the corner of Grand Ave. and First St. The stainless steel and fiberglass sculpture depicting a swirling, open, white-winged collar and black bowtie was designed by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen. The Music Center has already raised $4 million for the project to be added to the $274 million Walt Disney Concert Hall. Photo dated: October 8, 2005.
