Description
Photograph of close-up view of female factory worker examining a small metal component, ca.1940. At center, a woman can be seen sitting at a table examining a small metal part. The woman can be seen wearing a striped blouse and a pair of glasses. Near the woman's face, a large circular magnifying glass has been placed over a certain part of the component. Behind the magnifying glass, a large light is visible. On the surface of the table a vertical, black support can be seen with a small disk on one side and a cylindrical arm on the other side. A small coil can be seen wrapped around the initial part of the arm, and a small disk can be seen near the visible end of the arm. The woman's fingers sit close to the body of the cylinder. In the extreme foreground on the right, a large disk obscures the lower-right part of the image.
