Description
The Hendy Iron Works relocated to Sunnyvale after the San Francisco plant was destroyed in the 1906 earthquake. It was the first large industrial plant in Sunnyvale. Hendy manufactured mining and other heavy duty industrial machinery.

Master images scanned at 300 dpi and scaled to 6000 pixels on the longest side. Bit depth: grayscale at 8-bit; color at 24-bit. Images compressed to 800 pixels across the long dimension and to JPEG format. Scanning outsourced to Luna Imaging Inc. as part of an LSTA Grant funded by the California State Library in 2003-2004. Scanning hardware is unknown.
