Photograph caption dated May 9, 1958 reads "Mrs. Henry Matchett, second from left, receives Citizen of Year award from Encino Republican Women's Club. Shown with her, from left, are Brig. Gen. Henry Matchett, the Rev. Harley Wright Smith of St. Nicholas Episcopal Church and Mrs. George King, president of club. More than 45 Republican women attended luncheon and witnessed presentation of a gold token for charm bracelet. Mrs. Matchett, who received the award as 'Mrs. Republican,' has lived in Encino 10 years and has been active in civic and church work."
