Description
The episode "Inside Cal Poly Pomona" was hosted by the then Director of Public Affairs Stanley Hebert III. The three-segment show features an interview with Saul Landau, an alumnus of Cal Poly Pomona. Landau is a noted journalist, award-winning filmmaker, and commentator. The next segment is an interview with Ernesto Rodriguez, then Director of the Cesar E. Chavez Center for Higher Education discussing the upcoming Dia De Los Muertos event and the history of the holiday. The third segment of the show is an interview with Ron Simons, or "Mr. Cal Poly" as he is known. Simons answers viewer-submitted questions about the history of the campus and the show ends with footage of the construction of the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Ranch in 1925. The footage includes some of the first Arabian horses that Mr. Kellogg purchased and the temporary stables that were constructed for them while their permanent home was being built.
