Description
Connie and Eleanor begin the interview discussing the tragedy of Eleanor’s daughter Maya’s accident, resulting in Maya’s brain death. They proceed to talk about the shock that Eleanor endured when learning about her daughter and her denial and eventual acceptance of Maya’s state, the difficulty Eleanor had rearing Maya alongside two divorces, and the grieving and recovery process that Eleanor endured. Connie and Eleanor move on to discuss the people who informed Eleanor about Maya’s accident and who helped her come to terms with the death of Maya, and her life since Maya’s demise. Connie closes the interview requesting an autograph for her copy of the book.
