Photograph of an old Navajo Indian woman of the "Friendly's" sitting at the door of her hogan, ca.1901. She is crouched on the right side of the door which is framed in wood and inset in the earthen hogan with a roof of cloth. Several large hewn timbers lean against the left side of the door. A large stone sits in front of them. A tin cup sits nearby. The woman has a blanket over her left shoulder. A kettle sits on a fire just inside the door. A mug sits at the woman's feet.
